It’s a staple of stadium statements these days — four syllables designed to serve as a Rosetta Stone for fans who only see an owner’s greed.
“No, no!” the message goes, “This isn’t about upgrading from a Maserati to a Bugatti. This is about staying…competitive!”
But what exactly does that mean?”

Patrick Robinson stood in the lobby of Chargers Park with an ear to ear smile.
Two hours after inking a one year deal to officially join the Chargers, the cornerback repeatedly emphasized how he’s embracing a fresh start in America’s Finest City.
“This is a fresh start,” he said. “I’m leaving everything behind. I’m going to come in, work hard and make as many plays as I can. San Diego is getting a guy that will definitely work hard. I am determined to play up to my ability.”
The New Orleans Saints’ first round draft choice in 2010 experienced a wide range of emotions over five seasons in the Crescent City.
