It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the San Diego Chargers.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports free agent running back Ryan Mathews is visiting with the Philadelphia Eagles today:

“Garafolo quickly reported that the visit is expected to be more than a visit and Mathews is expected to sign with the team.

Mathews who was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Chargers has spent his entire 5 year career with the team. Mathews has dealt with injuries most of his career and last year it looked as if they caught up to him. He played in just six games last season and hit the open market this spring.

With the Eagles parting ways with LeSean McCoy they are in need of a new running back. After the Frank Gore deal went sour they were left to scramble to plan B which looks to be Mathews. ”
