For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the San Diego Chargers.
Could the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders move to LA?
“The Los Angeles Times reports the two teams are taking steps towards the building of a $1.7 billion stadium. The field could potentially be located in Carson California.
Both teams released the following statement to the LA Times:
“We are pursuing this stadium option in Carson for one straightforward reason: If we cannot find a permanent solution in our home markets, we have no alternative but to preserve other options to guarantee the future economic viability of our franchises.”
Working in conjunction with “Carson2gether”, which consists of a group of business and labor leaders, they will immediately launch a petition drive for a ballot initiative to get voter approval to build the stadium.”

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com the San Diego Chargers have reached an agreeent with left tackle King Dunlap:
“Dunlap has been a part of the Chargers since 2013 and started in every game for the Bolts last season. He was named Lineman of the Year for the Bolts and is one of the most trusted men on the team. It was important to lock Dunlap especially with all the injuries the Chargers faced on the O-line last season.
Standing a six feet nine inches Dunlap is able to do a lot of things other O-linemen just can’t do. Phillip Rivers is especially happy with the re-signing. He spoke to the Chargers official team site about the deal.
“King has been top notch the last few years for us at left tackle,” said Rivers. “It’s very well-deserved for him personally and a huge signing for our team.”
