We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers .

In a radio interview yesterday, Mark Cuban said this about the Lakers:

“Cuban made his remarks about the 1-9 Lakers, who are off to their worst start in franchise history, while he was on “The Fred Roggin Show” on The Beast 980, a radio station in Los Angeles.

Roggin brought up the topic of how teams are constructed in the current NBA era, specifically the Lakers.

“As far as the Lakers,” Cuban said, “I think there are going to be a lot of teams that are going to be focusing and saying, ‘Look, I’ve got a ton of cap room, free agents A, B and C, why don’t you guys come together and come play for me?’ And L.A. has always been considered a destination, so maybe they feel there’s a valid strategy. You know me, Fred. Personally, I just hope they suck forever.”

The Los Angeles Lakers completely took on the challenge from the Atlanta Hawks:

“They didn’t pass it up.

Bryant scored 28 points and the Lakers held on for just their second win, beating the Atlanta Hawks 114-109 on Tuesday night.

A locker room that has been solemn most of the season was a lot more raucous this time.

“Man, oh man, that’s a lot better,” Jeremy Lin said. “It’s been a rough start to the season.”

Bryant’s biggest shot came with 1:11 remaining, when he backed in against Thabo Sefolosha and made a fadeaway jumper despite being fouled. Bryant slapped hands with a fan on the front row and completed the three-point play, giving the Lakers a 108-102 lead.

“It’s been tough,” Bryant said. “But you find beauty in the process.”
