For your morning reading pleasure, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers.
Rant Sports discusses the impact Jimmy Butler could have on the Lakers if they were to sign him over the summer:
“Jimmy Butler has quickly become one of the best two-way wing players in the league, and he will likely be receiving several huge offers this offseason. As a restricted free agent, the Chicago Bulls can still match any of the offers, but it is unclear whether they would be willing to commit that much money to Butler going forward. They currently have large contracts for Derrick Rose and Joakim Noahon the books, and may need to get more creative in order to win the Eastern Conference next season.
Regardless, the Los Angeles Lakers should still make every attempt to sign him this offseason, as he could help make the team significantly better for the future.
There is no doubt that his offensive game has improved immensely since he first entered the league.”

Bleacher Report lays out the latest rumors swirling around the Lakers possible summer moves:
“It’s easy to look at where the Lakers sit on draft day—then at the top prospects—and call it a day.
It seems obvious, after all. The Lakers will either land Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Towns, a great all-around enforcer underneath the basket, or Duke’s Jahlil Okafor, perhaps the most polished offensive big man to enter the draft in years.
Here’s the thinking: Pair one of the top two names down low with last year’s top-five pick, Julius Randle, securing that area for years to come.”
