We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Inquisitr discusses the possibility of Jeremy Lin to move his game to Miami:
“So who gets traded on or before the February 19 trading deadline? Right now, according to rumors floating around the club, the leading candidate is inconsistent, 26-year-old point guard Jeremy Lin.
Lin caused a sensation in his second NBA season, which he spent a member of the New York Knicks. Undrafted and a graduate of Harvard University, Lin set off a phenomenon that was immediately labeled “Linsanity” with his unlikely leap to sudden NBA stardom.
But his ride at the top was short lived, and since then, the 6′ 3″ Lin has performed no better than any NBA journeyman. Lin is averaging a respectable but unimpressive 10.5 points and 4.9 assists in the 2014-15 season so far.
The Miami Heat are also struggling in this year, in the wake of Lebron James’ return to Cleveland. But even though the Heat are waddling along at 14-16, they still hold the seventh overall seed in the East and maintain a realistic shot a playoff position.”

The Los Angeles Lakers lost last night to the Phoenix Suns:
“Kobe Bryant finally returned to the lineup tonight but he didn’t have the impact fans were hoping he’d have. You can read about Kobe’s missing games here. The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Phoenix Suns 116-107.
Although Kobe helped the team with some strong ball movement, he struggled to feel comfortable in his shot, waiting until late in the first to take one. Ronnie Price helped the Lakers end the first leading 28-26 as he racked up 8 early.
The Nick Young show kicked off in the second as he began to get hot with his shots while Kobe sat on the bench after playing 11 minutes. The Lakers were able to lead by as many as 7 in the quarter, but the Phoenix Suns pushed back ending the quarter 56-55 in the Lakers favor.
Bryant started the third with a bang as he hit an 18 footer. The Suns took over and went 10-2 and they took the lead going into the fourth, 88-81.”
