The new Los Angeles Kings player, Milan Lucic is proving himself to be a class act. If you had any doubts of the 27 year-old’s motives check out what he did to say goodbye to Boston fans.

Lucic was responsible for helping the Boston Bruins to reach (and win) the 2011 Stanley Cup, where they came from behind to defeat the Vancouver Canucks.

SI.com reports the following on the story:

“He helped the Bruins win the 2011 Stanley Cup, coming from behind to defeat the Vancouver Canucks four games to three in the best of seven series.

“To the people of Boston,” Lucic continued, “You ARE #BostonStrong.”

The Bruins traded Lucic to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a No. 13 draft pick just hours before the 2015 NHL draft started on June 26.

Lucic tied for third on the team in scoring during the 2014–15 season, with 18 goals and 26 assists. “

The Pink Punk also tweeted the following supporting Lucic:

It’s good to be a Kings fan! Welcome Lucic, we can’t wait to see you in that jersey!
