Hollywood Blvd. News – Los Angeles Kings Edition

For your afternoon reading pleasure, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Kings.
The Los Angeles Kings didn’t look an ounce of tired coming off of a win last night and soared past the New York Rangers 4-2:
“In the midst of the most important hockey of the season the Kings came into tonight’s rematch of the last year’s Stanley Cup Final need to secure two more points. Last night the Kings beat the New Jersey Devils 3-1.
In a game that ended up with smiles did not start off so hot for the Kings. Mats Zuccarelloscored a wrist goal that was assisted by J.T. Miller in the first minute of the game that had the fans at Madison Square on their feet. It was Robyn Regehr who responded for the Kings. He scored a wrist shot goal off a fortunate bounce that was assisted by Kyle Clifford. That was all the scoring in the period as the period ended 1-1.
In the second is Marian Gaborik who put a slap shot through the net that was assisted by Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams and the Kings never looked back.”

On Saturday March 7th, the Los Angeles Kings honored the legendary Luc Robitaille with a bronze statue with his likeness:
“Mike Richards returned tonight and although he did not get on the scoreboard, he did set up a nice chance for Trevor Lewis.
Anze Kopitar came in clutch tonight for LA. He not only had a goal but also two assists. Newbie Andrej Sekera and Tyler Toffoli added the other two for the Kings, Marian Gaborik added two assists too. The ever-reliable Jonathan Quick made 19 saves.
As for the New Jersey Devils, Scott Gomez scored and Cory Schneider made 30 saves. The Devils lost their second straight game and are on the verge of being knocked out of the Eastern Conference playoff race with nine games left.”
