We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Kings.
The Los Angeles Kings beat the Arizona Coyotes 1-0 thanks to another Jonathan Quick shutout:
“It was a defensive game tonight not one that many fans could get excited for as only one goal was scored. In the first period the Kings would take 10 shots on goal against Yotes goaltender Mike Smith but nothing would come out of it .
In the second period it was Andy Andreoff who scored a slap shot goal that was assisted by Jordan Nolan and Brayden McNabb. This was Andreoff’s first goal of the season and his career and will go down as a game winner to make matters even better.
The Yotes have struggled for most of this season and this loss cannot be pinned on Smith. He made 34 saves tonight as the Kings could not capitalize on multiple opportunities.”

On Saturday March 7th, the Los Angeles Kings honored the legendary Luc Robitaille with a bronze statue with his likeness:
“1984
He was in awe as he sat on his seat in the legendary Montreal Forum. Born and raised in Montreal, he was well-educated about the legendary Montreal Canadiens and being inside the building where so many hockey legends had played and won the majestic Stanley Cup excited him. He couldn’t get rid of his genuine smile even if he wanted to due to all this excitement. A who’s who of all the top NHL prospects surrounded him. Today was not about playing hockey or even watching it inside this historic arena. Today was all about being drafted into the NHL.
Now at 18 years old, he was a fan of the Edmonton Oilers purely based on their phenomenal superstar Wayne Gretzky. The way Gretzky exploded in to the NHL and dominated it like no one else had ever done before greatly impressed him and just a few short days ago, he was at home watching Gretzky and his Edmonton Oilers finally capture their first ever Stanley Cup.”
