We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Kings.

Rant Sports discusses Jonathan Quick:

“Right when it looked like the reigning champion Los Angeles Kings were about to fall apart at the beginning of February, the team has started playing like the champion fans know them to be.

The Kings have won five in a row, with four of those wins coming against teams in playoff position, including two against the high-powered Tampa Bay Lightning. They sit only two points out of a playoff spot. While there have been contributions made from throughout the lineup, the majority of the success can be a attributed to Jonathan Quick finding his form and playing like the all-world goalie he’s established himself as.

Not every win on this streak has been pretty. Quick has given up three goals twice, but a win is a win and even when Quick struggles statistically, he always comes up clutch with timely saves.”

In the second period it was all about the Kings. Jeff Carter scored a tip-in shot that was assisted by Tyler Toffoli and Dwight King. Toffoli would then scored a goal of his own a backhand shot that as assisted by Trevor Lewis and Drew Doughty.
