We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Kings.
Read an excerpt of the recap from the Kings big win over the Calgary Flames:
“Tyler Toffoli recorded a Hat Trick tonight and lifted the Los Angeles Kings over the Calgary Flame 5-3. Tonight’s win pushed the Kings winning streak to three in a row. Last time out they were able to sneak by the Columbus Blues 4-3.
For the first time in a long time the Kings jumped out to an early lead. Toffoli opened up the game with a slap shot goal that was assisted by Jeff Carter. The Kings were able to hold a 1-0 lead heading into the second period as they outshot the Flames 11-6.
In the second period David Jones scored a goal to even the score. His goal was assisted by T.J. Brodie and Dennis Wideman. Just thirty seconds later Mason Raymond scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Matt Stajan and Wildeman.”

CaliSports News writer Jeff Duarte discusses “The Passion Of The Los Angeles Kings Fan-Base”:
“In what my mind justifies as me helping the team out from their current struggle, I start looking around my room to make sure that all my superstitious rituals are completed or are in the right place.
– Wearing my lucky 2011-12 home jersey? – CHECK!
– The remote controls are bundled together and carefully placed in the holder? – CHECK!
– Start playing my LA Kings playlist on the stereo – CHECK!
– Kiss my beautiful wife and then my adorable cat before chanting, “GO KINGS GO!” – CHECK!
– Have my King’s family name list ready for the traditional (and unrelenting) game day morning roll call on twitter? (which is loved by some and annoying to others) – CHECK!”
