Hollywood Blvd. News – Los Angeles Kings Edition
- Updated: December 9, 2014
We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Kings.
The Los Angeles Kings had a small scare in practice:
“Kings forward Tyler Toffoli had a close call with the skate blade of a teammate, defenseman Jake Muzzin. It happened near the corner, just to the left to the net, in front of the area where the media usually assembles.
Toffoli was slow to get up but was uninjured, admitting later it was unnerving at first. Muzzin too was clearly concerned and made sure Toffoli was OK. The real sign that everything really was fine was when they could joke around about it in the dressing room.
“I kind of felt my blade hit his skate, it almost hit him in the skin area there,” Muzzin said. “I felt a little flesh on my blade, so I eased up a bit.
“That would [stink]. I would not want to do that — he’s our leading scorer, no?”
Well, yes.”

The Los Angeles Kings will sport a new stadium jersey:
“The Los Angeles Kings have had a number of different looks through the years, from the purple and gold of the Triple Crown Line to the infamous Burger King sweaters.
With the Kings back in the NHL Stadium Series this season, facing the San Jose Sharks as Levi’s Stadium on Feb. 21, what might they wear?
John Hoven of Mayor’s Manor reported that it’ll be a two-toned jersey – gray and white, with a black stripe separating them – with white pants and white gloves.
This matches the color scheme on the “sneak preview” box that’s currently being displayed at the Team LA Store, with the big reveal coming on Dec. 16.”
