Hollywood Blvd. News – Los Angeles Dodgers Edition

For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Dodgers.
After two straight wins over the Atlanta Braves, the Los Angeles Dodgers lose in the series finale, 3-2:
“The Braves started out scoring in the top of the third inning, when Cameron Maybintook a Zack Greinke‘s pitch over the center field wall.
The Dodgers came back, in the bottom of the fourth inning to even the score, when Justin Turner singled to second and Jimmy Rollins scored the Dodgers first run.
Heading into the top of the eighth inning, with the score tied at one, Andrelton Simmons, who had two hits in this game, scored on a wild pitch from Dodgers reliever Adam Libertore, for the go ahead run. On the next pitch, Nick Markakis hit a ground ruled double that bounced into the left field stands and scored Jace Peterson for the Braves third run.”

Los Angeles Dodgers also recall Chris Heisey:
“According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Dodgers have recalled outfielder Chris Heisey from Triple-A.

This is the third time Heisey has been called up to the senior circuit for the Dodgers this season. He has only appeared in three games however.
J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles News Group reported the news of the call up as well.
One roster spot cleared: The #Dodgers designated reliever Sergio Santos for assignment and recalled Chris Heisey from OKC.
