For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Here is an excerpt from a recent CaliSports News article discussing the signing of Freddy Garcia:
“He was pitching relatively well for the Dodgers and he was looking like a guy who might even make the Opening Day roster after Hyun-jin Ryu got hurt, until Bedard, too, went down with an injury.
Now, for reasons I can’t fathom, the Dodgers have signed Freddy Garcia to, I guess, get outs in real live games that count in the standings next week.
I know, it’s just a minor league deal, so he may never see the big leagues. This is the epitome of taking a flyer on a guy and just being like, hey man, so, you have pitched a long time.”

Albert Pujols hit a grand slam in the 5th inning and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-0:
“As Spring Training winds down both the Dodgers are Angels look to gain some momentum heading into the season.
Andrew Henley got the start for the Angels. He pitched 5.1 hitless innings for the Angels in his last start in the spring. He has struggled this spring and it was nice to see him have a strong outing.
David Freese hit a two run bomb in the second inning as they Angels scored all six runs off of the long ball. Brandon McCarthy got the start for the Dodgers. He pitched 3 innings allowing the Freeze home run.”
