The Los Angeles Angels have hit a few bumps in the road, especially after their recent sweep by the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Angels are no longer in possession of one of the two AL Wild Card spots and FoxSports.com writes that they are a game and a half behind the Rangers and five and a half games behind the Houston Astros in the West.

Mike Scoscia told MLB.com that the team had a big sit down meeting after the final game against the Blue Jays. FOXSports.com writes:

“…The chat was more or less a ‘state of the team’ address: “We talked about a couple of things. I think everybody’s realistic about this weekend and where we’ve been the last couple of weeks. But there’s still a lot of confidence in that room and we need to bring it on the field and start playing games like we can.”

Pitcher Garrett Richards, who was ineffective on Sunday, echoed the same sentiment regarding the team’s confidence level: “Nobody in here is panicking; there’s a lot of baseball left to play. I mean, obviously we’re losing, but everybody in here is ready to play every day.”

Let’s get it together Angels!
