We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the Los Angeles Angels.

Here is an excerpt from the Los Angeles Angels game yesterday:

“The Rockies struck first off Angels starter C.J. Wilson in the top of the third when, amid swirling trade rumorsTroy Tulowitzki knocked a sacrifice fly to put the Angels down one run.

In the fourth, the Rockies scored again, thanks to doubles from Justin Morneau and then Corey Dickerson to make it a 2-0 game for their starting pitcher, Kyle Kendrick, who came into the evening struggling mightily on the mound.

Kendrick looked good early, but the Angels finally got to him in the fourth. After singles by Erick Aybar and Johnny Giavotella, Matt Joyce drove in a run on a ground out, and Carlos Perezdrove in another on a single to tie the game at two apiece after four innings.”

Here is the recap of their loss on Sunday night:

Richards had a very strong outing for the Halos. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing just 1 hit and 1 run. He struck out 10 batters and walked 4 on his way to his 3rd win of the season.

On the hand Scott Feldman had a strong outing for the Astros. He pitched 7 innings allowing 6 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 5 and walked 1 as he picked up the loss.

It was a scoreless ball game until the 5th inning. Chris Iannetta reached base on an infield single that allowed David Freese and Erick Aybar to score. Feldman’s throwing error was part of the wacky sequence.

Kole Calhoun hit a sacrifice fly left field that brought in Johnny Giavotella and the Angels held a 3-0 advantage.
