“The Angels looked to bounce back after Huston Street blew the save in last night’s game.

Weaver got the start for the Angels. He picked up his first win of the year and went 9 innings allowing 6 hits while striking out 6.

For the Astros Roberto Hernandez got the start. He pitched an excellent game but was unable to get the win. He went 7.2 innings allowing 6 hits and 2 runs while striking out 3.

All of the offense came in the 5th inning. C.J. Cron hit a sacrifice fly that brought in David Freese to give the Halos a 1-0 advantage.”

“After back to back wins via the walk-off the Angels were unable to provide that ninth inning magic tonight.

Hector Santiago got the start for the Angels. He had a strong outing as he pitched 6.1 innings allowing 1 hit while striking out 5. He did walk 4 batters and picked up the no decision.

On the other hand Collin McHugh got the start for Houston. He had a very impressive outing but received zero run support. He pitched 7.1 innings allowing 5 hits and 2 runs while striking out 7. He picked up the no decision as well.

Mike Trout hit a home run to center field in the first inning that gave the Halos the early 1-0 lead. This was his 8th of the year.”
