Happy Valentines Day To Kobe Bryant
- Updated: February 14, 2016
In honor of his last All-Star game, and his 18th, Kobe Bryant received a gift that no one (probably) ever has before.
Ready??
Michael Jordan gifted the Black Mamba a set of Air Jordan’s in honor of his retirement. The Jordan brand presented Kobe Bryant with a full set of the sneakers released thus far. That’s 30 pairs in all. The large display of sneakers were presented to Bryant, casually, at the Jordan Brand All-Star Party.
Not like we didn’t know the significance of Jordan’s, but here is their statement on the gift:
“The Jordan Brand is about more than basketball, it’s about leaving a legacy and honoring those who have left a legacy,” Jordan Brand president Larry Miller said. “Tonight the brand was able to honor one of the game’s great players and the legacy he created.”
And here’s the picture:
Lasting legacy.

Included with this set are purple-and-gold versions of the Air Jordan III and Air Jordan VIII — the two shoes that Bryant wore during the 2002-03 season.
ESPN also notes that he received 30 pairs of white shoes in his size 14. He also was gifted an alternate set of shoes in black (also size 14) to be auctioned on eBay for charity. The opening bid is currently set at $100,000. The auction ends Sunday at noon ET.
So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day Kobe Bryant.
