Greinke Stars, Dodgers Win 4-3

PHOENIX, Az- Zack Greinke was dominant once again and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.
For the Dodgers Greinke did what he does best. He went 8 innings allowing 0 runs and 3 hits. He struck out 8 and walked 2. He only threw 93 pitches and was awarded his 17th win of the season.
On the other side Patrick Corbin got the start. He last 6 innings allowing 8 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 4 and picked up his 4th loss of the season.
The offense got started for the Dodgers in the 1st innings. Justin Turner hit a RBI single to right field that brought in Justin Ruggiano and gave the Dodgers a 1-0 lead.
Scott Van Slyke got going again for the Dodgers in the 3rd inning. He reached on a fielder’s choice that brought in Turner and the Dodgers pushed their lead to 2-0.
The Dodgers were at it again in the 7th. Adrian Gonzalez hit a RBI single to left that brought in Ronald Torreyes and push the lead to 3-0. A.J. Ellis hit a solo shot in the 8th to give the Dodgers a 4-0 lead. It was his 5th of the year.
Kenley Jansen came on in the 9th inning and struggled. Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit a 3-run home run that brought in Paul Goldschmidt and David Peralta.
The Dodgers will take on the Colorado Rockies in Los Angeles at 7:10 p.m. PST on Monday night.
