Grandal Lifts Dodgers Over Braves

Yasmani Grandal hit a RBI double in the tenth inning to give the Dodgers 2-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Thursday afternoon.
For Los Angeles Clayton Kershaw got the start. He pitched 8 innings allowing 10 hits and 1 run while striking out 10 batters. Kershaw did not have his best stuff but gave the Dodgers a chance to win when he stepped off the mound. He would receive a no-decision for his efforts.
On the other side Matt Wisler got the start. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing 4 hits and no earned runs. He also struck out 6 and walked 2 as he was awarded a no decision as well.
Joc Pederson got the offense started for the Dodgers in the first inning. He hit a RBI single to left field that brought in Corey Seager and the Dodgers led 1-0.
In the bottom of the first Daniel Castro answered back with a RBI double of his own. His double brought in Erick Aybar, and the game was tied at 1-1.
Grandal hit the game clincher in the tenth inning. His RBI double to center field brought in Enrique Hernandez and Los Angeles went on to win 2-1.
Kenley Jansen came on in the 9th inning and picked up his 7th save of the season. Los Angeles will take on the Colorado Rockies today at 5:40 p.m. PST.
