Gonzalez Drives In 5, Dodgers Win 7-2

Adrian Gonzalez hit two home runs last night as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-2 on Wednesday night. With the win Los Angeles has won three out of their last four ball games.
For the home Jake Thompson got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 5 hits and 5 runs. He walked four and gave up two home runs and picked up his second loss of the year.
On the other side Scott Kazmir was on the bump. He pitched 5 innings as well allowing 8 hits and 2 runs. He walked 3 and gave up a home run but was able to pick up his 10th win of the year.
The offense got started in the second inning when Freddy Galvis hit a RBI double that brought in Maikel Franco. This gave Philadelphia a 1-0 advantage.
In the fourth inning Gonzalez hit his 11th homer of the year, a three run shot that brought in Justin Turner and Josh Reddick.
Turner hit a two run shot of his own in the fifth inning. His home run was his 22nd of the year and brought in Corey Seager. Tommy Joseph hit a solo shot in the 6th inning to cut the lead to 5-2.
Gonzalez capped off the night with a two run shot in the 7th as the Dodgers went on to win by a score of 7-2. Los Angeles will continue their series with the Phillies tonight at 4:05 p.m. PST.
