Gibson Leads Ducks To 1-0 Victory Over Wild

‏@AndreaParking69

The Anaheim Ducks took on the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night and shut them out 1-0. For Anaheim they have won two out of their last three contests.

Anaheim jumped on the Wild early in the game. Joseph Cramarossa scored a backhanded goal that was assisted by Corey Perry and Hampus Lindholm. This gave the Ducks 1-0 cushion.

Minnesota outshot the Ducks in the period but to no avail. That seemed to be the story of the night as the Wild had 16 shots on goal compared to the Ducks 4 in the second period.

In the third period Antoine Vermette was ejected for a slashing penalty on a official. He will most likely face suspension.

Anaheim ended up being outshot 37-23 on the night but still got the win. John Gibson completed the shutout with 37 saves. On the other hand Devan Dubnyk recorded the loss as he made 22 saves for a .957 save percentage.

Anaheim will take on the Florida Panthers at the Honda Center on Friday night. It should be a good one before Anaheim takes on their rival Los Angeles Kings on Sunday night.
