The Los Angeles Clippers will travel to San Antonio tonight to take on the Spurs in Game 6. The Clippers are currently down by one; the series sits at 3-2.
The Clippers couldn’t quite pull out the win on Tuesday night, after a call that disallowed a basket that could have won the game for the Clippers. Coach Doc Rivers said the following, as reported by NBA.com:
“That was a tough one last year. I’m assuming every experience you go through has to make you better, stronger, more mentally tough,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers said. “So I’m hoping.”
There’s still hope for the Clippers though. Throughout this series they have dominated on the road, and tonight could prove to do just that. Tim Duncan was quoted saying the following:
“They know they can win on the road,” Duncan said. “They’re going to try to knock us on our heels and attack. We know the aggression they’re going to come with.”
Blake Griffin is feeling optimistic about Game 6 though,
“It’s tough, but the series isn’t over, and we can’t think like that,” said Griffin, who finished with 30 points and 14 rebounds in Game 5. “It’s going to be a hostile environment in San Antonio.”
Tonight the Clippers could even things up and face a game 7! Remember, it ain’t over till Chris and Blake say so!
Let’s go Clippers! Be Relentless!!
