Kapler is a former 57th round pick of the 1995 MLB Draft. He spent time with the Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Rays, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Tigers, and Milwaukee Brewers throughout his career. Kapler was a finalist for the Dodgers managerial role and at one point was considered a front runner for the job.
