2) Matt WislerPitcher (#61 MLB.com) Bio: Born September 22nd, 1992. Bats: Right Throws: Right

Drafted in the 7th round of the 2011 MLB Draft (233rd Overall)

Scouting Report: Matt Wisler was a seventh-round draft pick following his senior season at Bryan High School in Bryan, Ohio. Wisler was originally an Ohio State commit, but signed with the Padres for a $500,000 signing bonus. Wisler has a good fastball that will sit in the low to mid-90’s. Wisler has two-plus off speed pitches, his curveball and slider. He typically resorts to his curveball as his strike out pitch. His slider has great movement and really keep hitters off-balance as it typically comes in at 83-84 mph. This provides him with a nice three pitch mix. Adding a good change-up would really take him to the next level. Control is one of Wisler’s best strengths as his walk rate has never exceeded 6.5 %. Wisler has been on the fast track as he reached Triple-A at age 21. He struggled early on following the promotion but really hit his stride late and showed flashes of the dominance as displayed in the lower minor leagues. Wisler projects as a middle of the rotation starter with a ceiling as a No. 2 starter in his future. ETA: 2015
