Former Clipper Elton Brand Retires

According to Marc Spears of ESPN.com former Los Angeles Clipper forward Elton Brand has announced his retirement.

Eric Pincus of Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

I spent a lot of time covering Elton Brand in my early days with the Clippers, always did his best to help out a young reporter

Brand spent seven of his 17 years in the NBA with the Clippers. He made two All-Star teams in his career and is widely respected around the league.
