According to Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News, Los Angeles Laker forward Ed Davis is seeking a major salary increase this offseason.
I’m told Ed Davis’ reps will try to get 2-3 year deal worth $8-9 million per year or 1-year deal worth $9-10 million http://t.co/Dnk1VsizxC

Ed Davis had a break out season with the Lakers last season. For a team that suffered one of the worst years in team history Davis did give the Lakers something to smile about from time to time. Many Laker fans want him back and rightfully so. He sat down with Medina and spoke about his future.
“I definitely want to be back,” Davis said in an interview with Los Angeles News Group. “With everything being equal, I’m 100 percent going back there. Hopefully that’s the case. But with free agency and all the stuff going on with the draft, you never know how things are going to go.”
As much as Davis was a bright spot for the Lakers he is the least of their concerns entering the draft and free agency. The Lakers are almost certain to take Jahlil Okafor or Karl-Anthony Towns with the number 2 pick. They already have Julius Randle, Jordan Hill, and Tarik Black who played well last season. And let’s not forget the Lakers will make their run at LaMarcus Aldridge and Marc Gasol this summer as well.
Davis looking for 7-10 million dollars from the Lakers certainly won’t happen. He was a great spark plug and served his purpose but unless he wants to take half of that I don’t see the Lakers paying him that kind of money.
I could be wrong though. What do you think Laker fans? Is Ed Davis worth that kind of money?
