King suffered a injury to his foot in the last preseason game in October which required surgery. He has been out since then and hasn’t been able to participate in any skating activities until Wednesday.
King has been a big part of the Kings over the last few years. Last season he appeared in 81 games totalling 26 points, 13 goals and 13 assists.
It is a good sign that he was able to get on the ice which hopefully means he’ll be able to return to action in the near future.
Los Angeles will take on the Montreal Canadiens tonight in Montreal. Both teams are atop of their respective divisions.
