Ducks Trade Frederik Andersen To Maple Leafs

According to Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com the Anaheim Ducks have traded goaltender Frederik Andersen to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Hearing Anaheim has traded Frederik Andersen to Toronto for 30th overall pick this year and second round pick next year

Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register also reported the news.
Ducks have traded goalie Frederik Andersen to Toronto for 2016 first-round pick (30th selection ) and 2017 second-rounder.

James Mirtle of TSN reported that the Maple Leafs had some competition for Andersen.
Leafs had competition for Frederik Andersen, which is why asking price is what it was. Get him for 30th pick and next year’s second rounder.

The Leafs quickly then agreed to a five-year extension with the goaltender.

Mirtle spoke to the Leafs about the deal.

With the Ducks already with All-Star goaltender John Gibson on the roster and demand for goaltending around the league Anaheim was able to cash in their chips and receive two draft picks.
