Ducks Stay Hot With 4-1 Win

The Anaheim Ducks continued their hot start with a 4-1 win over the New York Islanders on Wednesday night. Anaheim now posts a 5-1-1 record and have won two in a row.
The offense got started in the first period when Ryan Kesler scored a backhanded goal that was assisted by Sam Steel and Rickard Rakell. This gave Anaheim a 1-0 lead heading into the second period.
Kesler scored his second goal of the night with a slap shot goal. His goal was assisted by Andrew Cogliano and Cam Fowler and pushed the lead to 2-0.
Adam Henrique started things off in the 3rd period with a tip-in goal that was assisted by Max Comtois. Casey Cizikas got the Islanders on the board with a goal that was assisted by Ross Johnston and Scott Mayfield.
Hampus Lindholm capped things off with an empty net goal that as assisted by Ben Street and the Ducks went on to win by a score of 4-1.
John Gibson made 34 saves while Thomas Greiss made 21.
