Ducks Stay Hot Beat Oilers 5-3

The Anaheim Ducks continued their strong play of late and beat the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night 5-3. Anaheim is the one of the hottest teams in all of hockey as they are surging up the Pacific standings.
David Perron got Anaheim on the board in the first period with a wrist shot goal. His goal was assisted by Ryan Getzlaf and Sami Vatanen and put the Ducks up 1-0 after one.
In the second period Edmonton took control of the game. Leon Draisaitl scored a snap shot goal that tied the game at 1-1. His goal was assisted by Lauri Korpikoski and Justin Schultz.
Jakob Silfverberg answered back with a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Ryan Kesler. This put Anaheim back in front 2-1.
A little over a minute later Taylor Hall scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Jordan Eberle and Connor McDavid. Tied at 2-2 heading into the 3rd period the Ducks put their stamp on the game.
Hampus Lindholm scored a tip-in shot that was assisted by Rickard Rakell and Nick Ritchie. This put the Ducks up 3-2. With two minutes left the Oilers pulled their goaltender and Andrew Cogliano scored an empty net goal.
30 seconds later Benoit Pouliot scored a tip-in shot that was assisted by Andrej Sekera to put the Oilers back in striking distance.
Corey Perry scored an empty net goal that was assisted by Frederik Andersen and the Ducks held on to win 5-3.
