Ducks Seek Revenge Face Tampa Bay At The Pond

The Anaheim Ducks will look for revenge when they face the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at the Honda Center. These two teams faced off on November 21st and the Ducks were blown out 4-0.

The roles have reversed now as it is Tampa who is on a road trip. Tampa has loss their last three games on the road and will try to end that streak tonight.

Tampa will be without Ondrej Palat is expected to be out a few more weeks with a lower body injury. Cedric Paquette is listed as questionable as of this writing. He has an undisclosed issue and hasn’t played since the middle of November.

The Lightning are led by Steven Stamkos and Victor Hedman. Stamkos leads the team with 19 points on the season. 11 goals and 8 assists, while Hedman has 13 points on the year, 2 goals and 11 assists.

Anaheim is coming off a shutout win against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night. They were able to get goals from Shawn Horcoff, Rickard Rakell, Jakob Silfverberg, and Corey Perry.

John Gibson made 25 saves in the win and recorded a shutout. Ben Bishop will most likely be in goal for the Lighting and has had recent success against the Ducks. He holds a 5-0-1 record against the club.
