Ducks Remain Unbeaten With Win Over Wings 3-2

The Anaheim Ducks remained unbeaten with a 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night. With the win, the Ducks improve to a record of 3-0-0.
The offense got started in the first period when Tyler Bertuzzi scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Michael Rasmussen and Fran Nielsen. After the first period, the Red Wings held a 1-0 lead.
In the second period, Hampus Lindholm scored a snapshot goal that was assisted by Andrew Cogliano and Kiefer Sherwood that tied the score at 1-1.
Darren Helm answered back with a backhand shot goal a few minutes later to push the lead back to 2-1. Danny DeKeyser and Jimmy Howard were credited with the assists.
It was Jakob Silfvergberg who scored the game-tying goal in the third period. His goal was assisted by Adam Henrique and Max Comtois and the score was tied heading into overtime.
After the overtime period, Troy Terry got his chance to showcase his shootout skills and lifted Anaheim to a 3-2 win.
John Gibson made 19 saves for the Ducks while Jimmy Howard made 25 saves.
