Tokarski is a former fifth round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fifth round of the 2008 NHL draft. He spent two years with the Lightning before joining the Montreal Canadiens for three years.
Tokarski spent most of last season in the AHL with the San Diego Gulls. With the Ducks trading Frederik Andersen there is an opening in the backup goaltender spot behind John Gibson that Tokarski should be able to compete for.
Tokarski does have playoff experience with Montreal and could make a contribution to the club next season.
