Ducks Power Past Yotes Win 5-1

The Anaheim Ducks were too much for the Arizona Coyotes to handle as they won by a score of 5-1 on Thursday night. With the win Anaheim has won ten in a row now.

Newcomer Jamie McGinn got the offense started in the first period. He scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Corey Perry and the Ducks held a 1-0 advantage.

Less than a minute later Rickard Rakell got the board with a wrist shot goal of his own. His goal was assisted by Perry and Sami Vatanen and Anaheim held a 2-0 advantage.

In the second period Anaheim separated themselves from the pack. Cam Fowler scored a slap shot goal at the start of period. Vatanen and Ryan Kesler were credited with the assists and Anaheim pushed the lead to 3-0.

Arizona scored their only goal of the game in this period. Anthony Duclair scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Max Domi and Connor Murphy. This cut the lead to 3-1.

Josh Manson scored a backhand shot to answer back. His goal was assisted by Kesler and McGinn. Perry scored the fifth and final goal at the end of the period. His goal was assisted by Kevin Bieksa and Hampus Lindholm.

Frederik Andersen made 27 saves for a 96% save percentage. Arizona started their night with Niklas Treutle and ended Louis Domingue.

Up next for the Ducks is the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday afternoon.
