There was much speculation in regards to the Ducks coaching staff. Many people believed a change was coming due to the Ducks failure to close out the Chicago Blackhawks. Stephens reported that Bob Murray finished the exit interviews last week.
GM Bob Murray finished a few days of meetings with players, coaches and staff. Informed Lauer today that he was being let go.

Stephens believes that Lauer’s exit is due to the Ducks poor power play efforts. He reported some statistics in that department.
Lauer came in with Bruce Boudreau in 2011. Hold on job likely became tenuous as Ducks’ power play went 22nd (2013-14) and 28th (2014-15).
