Ducks Look To Rebound Vs. Rangers
- Updated: December 22, 2015
The Anaheim Ducks will look to rebound against the New York Rangers tonight. Last night the Ducks struggled with the other New York team, falling 5-2.
Frederik Andersen who was pulled after the first period last night may not be in goal tonight. The Ducks may turn to John Gibson who played well in relief last night.
Clayton Stoner was a healthy scratch as well last night. At this time we are not sure if he will play tonight or not. Anaheim comes into this game with a 12-15-5 record, while the Rangers sport a 19-12-4 record.
The Rangers have been struggling as of late. They have lost 8 of their last 10 ball games with the most recent coming on Sunday against the Washington Capitals a 7-3 defeat.
Henrik Lundqvist was pulled in that matchup and Magnus Hellberg come on in relief. The Rangers have three 20 point scorers Mats Zuccarello, Derick Brassard, and Rick Nash.
Zuccarello leads the club with 28 points, 14 goals and 14 assists. Brassard has 25 points, 11 goals and 14 assists. Nash has 24 points, 10 goals and 14 assists.
This might be a perfect matchup for the Ducks as the Rangers have been struggling and Anaheim desperately needs a win.
