Ducks Deal Patrick Maroon

According to Patrick Maroon of ESPN.com the Anaheim Ducks have traded Patrick Maroon and a fourth round draft pick to the Edmonton Oilers for Martin Gernat.

LeBrun reported further details on the deal.

Jason Strudwick of the Edmonton Diner Television reported his excitement of the deal.

Martin Gernat is a former fifth round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft. He has yet to play in the NHL but the move improves the depth of the Ducks system.

Maroon is a former sixth round pick of the 2007 NHL Draft. He had spent his entire career with the Ducks before being traded.

This season he has played in 56 games totaling 13 points. As more information surfaces on the Ducks and their moves we will keep you up to date.
