Ducks And Max Friberg Agree On Extension

According to the Anaheim Ducks official Twitter account the Ducks have reached a contract extension with Max Friberg.

Friberg made his debut with the Ducks last season. He spent much of his time with the American Hockey League. The Ducks believe he has a bright future and could work his way into the rotation next season.
Fridberg lead his team in scoring and assists last season. It will be interesting to see how much of an impact Friberg next season.
NHL.com writes the following about Max Friberg:
“Friberg, 22 (11/20/92), made his NHL debut with the Ducks last season, going scoreless in one game on Dec. 28, 2014 vs. Vancouver. The 5-11, 200-pound forward spent the rest of 2014-15 with Norfolk of the American Hockey League (AHL), collecting 15-25=40 points with a +2 rating and 46 penalty minutes (PIM) in 58 games. He concluded the season leading the Admirals in scoring and assists, and co-leading in goals.
Selected in the fifth round (143rd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Friberg has scored 33-48=81 points with 101 PIM in 138 career AHL games with Norfolk. The Skovde, Sweden native led all players at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship with nine goals and ranked tied for second in scoring with 9-2=11 points and a +4 rating in six games. Scoring a tournament-high four goals (4-0=4) in a 9-4 win over Latvia on Dec. 26, Friberg was named to the 2012 World Junior All-Star Team after helping lead Sweden to a gold-medal victory. With the honor, Friberg became the first Anaheim draft pick to be named to the tournament All-Star team since Paul Kariya in 1993.”
