Many people believe that Gallardo and Tyson Ross of the San Diego Padres are the best starters available. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported the news.

Jayson Stark of ESPN.com reported that the Rangers we’re thinking of keeping him earlier in the week.

Gallardo is 29-years old and had spent a lot of his career with the Milwaukee Brewers before being traded to the Rangers. He is not a strikeout pitcher and does give up his fair share of walks so some baseball executives are unsure of his long-term productivity.
After acquiring Matt Latos and Alex Wood the Dodgers are looking to fill out the rest of the staff in order make a deep playoff. With the trade deadline approaching today look for teams to be extremely active.
