Dodgers Take Game 1

The Los Angeles Dodgers used a strong outing from Hyun-Jin Ryu to beat the Atlanta Braves in the game one of the National League Divison Series.

Ryu pitched 7 innings allowing 4 hits and 0 runs while striking out 8. It was the first time that Ryu has pitched in the postseason and years and made a huge mark on the game.

Mike Foltynewicz got the start for the Braves. He picked just 2 innings allowing 3 hits and 4 runs while picking up the loss.

Joc Pederson started things off with a solo shot that put Los Angeles on the board early. Max Muncy followed with a 3-run shot that brought in Pederson and Justin Turner in the 2nd inning that put the club up 4-0.

Kike Herandez hit a solo shot in the 6th inning that pushed it to 5-0. David Freese hit a sacrifice fly to right field in the 8th inning that capped off the night at 6-0.

With the win, Los Angeles goes into game 2 with a 1-0 lead and Clayton Kershaw on the mound for game two at 6:37 p.m. PST against Anibal Sanchez.
