Dodgers Stay Hot With Win Over Pirates

The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their strong play this season with a 8-5 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night. Los Angeles got the win although two of their contributors Alex Wood and Cody Bellinger both hit the DL yesterday.
The offense got started in the first inning when Justin Turner hit a groundout to first that brought in Chris Taylor. This gave the Dodgers an early 1-0 lead.
In the second inning Brock Stewart hit a RBI single that brought in Yasiel Puig. Taylor followed with a 2-run double of his own that brought in Adrian Gonzalez and Logan Forsythe to push the lead to 4-0.
Pittsburgh answered the call in the third inning. Starling Marte hit a two-run shot that brought in Jameson Taillon. Josh Harrison hit a two-run double later in the inning that brought in Adam Frazier and Andrew McCutchen. John Jaso capped off the inning with a ground out that brought in Josh Bell and the Pirates took the lead 5-4.
The Dodgers were able to tie the game in the 4th inning. Taylor reached on an infielder single that brought in Puig. Corey Seager hit a RBI single to right field that gave the Dodgers a 6-5 advantage.
Yasmani Grandal hit a 2-run shot in the 7th inning to cap things off and gave the club the 8-5 victory.
