Van Slyke is a former 14th round pick of the Dodgers in the 2005 MLB Draft. Last season Van Slyke battled injuries but managed to play in 52 games.
He hit .225 and had one homerun to go with seven RBI’s. Los Angeles will bring back Van Slyke to provide depth in the outfield.
