Dodgers Select Gavin Lux In MLB Draft

According to Ken Gurnick of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Dodgers have selected shortstop Gavin Lux in the first round of the 2016 MLB Draft.
Dodgers take Gavin Lux, SS, Indian Trail H.S. Wisc. with first pick.

Andy McCullough of the Times, also reported the news.
The Dodgers took Gavin Lux, a high school shortstop from Wisconsin. 65-grade name.

Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reported some details of the prospect.

Lux had committed to playing college ball at Arizona State but after being selected in the first round it looks like he’ll pass on that. Plunkett spoke to Lux about the manner.

Lux looks like he will be able to play the shortstop position at the next level and is a very versatile offensive player. Coming from high school in Wisconsin Lux did not face the strongest competition so it will be good to see how he fares in the minors.
