According to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com the Los Angeles Dodgers are pursuing Baltimore Orioles reliever Darren O’Day.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports also reported the news.

O’Day was signed by the Los Angeles of Anaheim in the in 2006. He has spent time with the New York Mets, Texas Rangers, and Orioles throughout his career.

Last season for Baltimore O’Day posted a 6-2 record with a 1.52 ERA. He appeared in 68 games throwing 65.1 innings, striking out 82 batters.

The Dodgers are looking for pitching depth help especially in the bullpen and if they can land O’Day would be a solid addition.

Los Angeles is also in the market for starting pitching help. They suffered massive injuries to their starting rotation last year they hurt them during the season even though they still managed to win the NL West crown.

The Dodgers are also in the midst of hiring their new manager. A decision is expected by as soon as today or the weekend. Many experts believe that Dave Roberts will be the new skipper. Reports surfaced that he was very impressive in his interview.
