Dodgers Pull Away In Extras for 5-1 victory in San Francisco

The Los Angeles Dodgers won Thursday night’s game with plate presence.

Despite just five hits, Los Angeles worked seven walks, directly leading to the scoring of three runs.

Julio Urias was quite good in his season debut. He worked five and two-thirds innings of one-run ball, scattering four hits and four walks while fanning four, as well. The LA ‘pen stepped up in a big way. Fields, Avilan, Jansen and Hatcher combined for four and a third scoreless.

Corey Seager opened the scoring with a solo shot in the top of the first. Christian Arroyo evened the score in the sixth.

In extras, Toles, Hernandez, Turner and Taylor each collected RBIs to put the Dodgers on top, and Hatcher shut the door with ease.

Matt Moore deserved better. He took a no decision despite seven dominant innings in which the Dodgers mustered just two hits and one run.

It was the second-consecutive day these NL West foes needed extras to determine a victor.

Final score (10): Dodgers 5, Giants 1
