McCarthy has pitched in 13 games so far this season. He has posted a 6-3 record with a 3.25 ERA. McCarthy has been dealing with a knee injury over the last few weeks so the club is trying to be cautious with the righty.
Los Angeles is playing some of the best baseball in the league right and will look to continue their strong play against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Hopefully McCarthy will be ready sooner rather than later.
