Dodgers Lose Wild Game 2 In Extras

The Los Angeles Dodgers blew a 3-1 lead and fell to the Houston Astros in game 2 of the 2017 World Series. The series will now shift to Houston for game 3 on Friday night.
Rich Hill got the start for the Dodgers. He pitched 4 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 run. He walked 3 and struck out 7 as he was awarded a no-decision.
On the other side, Justin Verlander got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 2 hits and 3 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 5 as he was awarded a no-decision as well.
The offense got started in the 3rd inning when Alex Bregman hit an RBI single that brought in Josh Reddick. Joc Pederson answered with a solo shot in the 5th inning that tied the game.
It was Corey Seager that hit a 2-run shot that brought in Chris Taylor and the Dodgers held a 3-1 lead.
In the 8th inning, Kenley Jansen came on and gave up an RBI single to Carlos Correa that trimmed the lead to 3-2. Marwin Gonzalez shocked the LA fan base when he hit a game-tying run in the 9th to force extras.
Jose Altuve hit a solo shot in the 10th inning followed by a Correa. Yasiel Puig hit a solo shot in the bottom of the 10th and Enrique Herandez tied the score once again with an RBI single that brought in Logan Forsythe.
George Springer delivered what would be the game-clinching home run, a 2-run shot that brought in Cameron Maybin. Charlie Culberson hit a solo shot of his own in the 11th but it wasn’t enough for the Dodgers to come back.
