Dodgers Lose Game 2 In Boston, 4-2

The Dodgers now find themselves in a 0-2 hole after losing Game 2 of World Series to Boston, 4-2.

The task of winning a world title just got a little harder for the Los Angeles Dodgers after they let this game slip away. Boston starting pitcher David Price turned his playoff imperfections into a gem in last night’s game.

The Dodgers founded out the hard way as they were no-hit by Price for the first three innings. After falling behind 1-0 in the second inning, the Dodger bats woke up in the fourth inning, two singles to start the inning by David Freese and Manny Machado and a walk by Chris Taylor, Matt Kemp‘s sacrifice fly to center scored Freese.
Yasiel Puig‘s single to center gave the Dodgers their first lead of the series at 2-1.

The Red Sox came back to tie the game on a bases-loaded walk to Steve Pearce. J.D. Martinez‘s two-run single was the game-winner for the Red Sox, giving them the 4-2 advantage.

Another bad sign, all runs were scored with two outs in the inning. The series is far from over, but this Red Sox team is probably the best team in the franchise history, they just don’t make mistakes and they will capitalize on two out situations.

NEXT UP FOR THE DODGERS:

The teams will head West, to Los Angeles for the next two games. Rookie Walker Buehler will face Red Sox vet Rick Porcello in game three from Dodger Stadium.
