Dodgers Hit 4 Home Runs, Beat Giants 7-3

The Los Angeles Dodgers hit 4 home runs on Wednesday night and beat the defending World Series Champion San Francisco Giants 7-3.
For the Dodgers Zack Greinke got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 6 and walked 2. He picked up his 4th win of the season.
On the other hand Ryan Vogelsong did not find much success. He pitched just 3 innings allowing 5 hits and 6 runs. He gave up four Dodger home runs in the loss.
The Giants were actually the first ones to get on board. Brandon Belt him a RBI single to right that brought in Nori Aoki. The Giants held a 1-0 lead heading into the bottom of the first.
Joc Pederson hit his 4th home run of the year to start the Dodgers off. Adrian Gonzalez followed with a solo shot of his own, his 8th of the year to give the Boys in Blue a 2-1 lead.
Andre Ethier joined the party with a 2-run shot that brought in Scott Van Slyke and the Dodgers controlled a 4-1 lead after the first inning.
Jimmy Rollins didn’t want to be left out. He hit a solo shot in the 3 inning, his 2nd of the year and the Dodgers held a 5-1 lead. Van Slyke hit a sacrifice fly to right that brought in Howie Kendrick. After 3 innings the Dodgers were up 6-1.
The Giants didn’t want to be completely left out of the home run parade. Brandon Crawford hit a 2-run blast that brought Casey McGehee. Heading into the bottom of 4th the Dodgers held a 6-3 advantage.
Greinke helped his own cause in the bottom half of the inning. He hit a sacrifice fly to right field that allowed Yasmani Grandal to score and the Dodgers held a 7-3 lead the rest of the game.
The Dodgers will have tomorrow night off before taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks at home on Friday night.
